Jim was born and raised in Illinois and has lived at various times in Illinois, California, Texas and Quebec, Canada.
As a child, Jim benefited from faithful Christians in his community who took children to church and youth events. However, those seeds didn’t sprout until much later in life and through the care and nurture of his wife, Cindy.
Jim and Cindy have five children who are scattered across the world, which gives them a great reason to travel again as soon as possible.
Jim has a wide variety of experience in the business world before becoming involved with non-profit organizations. He is a CPA and has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio. After six years in public accounting, Jim moved to the oil and gas industry. After retiring from Valero Energy Corporation, he began working with non-profits, and increasingly with churches. Most recently, he spent eight years as the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Administration at Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, Texas.
Jim became a member of Verse By Verse Ministry International’s Board of Directors in 2020 and currently serves as President. Jim is passionate about spreading God’s Word through Verse By Verse Ministry International and is excited by the foundations that have been laid through the work of its dedicated partners.
