If God knew we would sin, why did He create us?

Pastor Armstrong teaches that God knew about us before Genesis Chapter 1:1. That means He knew that we will be unfaithful at times and turn our back against Him. So then why did He create us?

The Lord created Adam and Woman with the intent that sin would exist. The very design of Creation itself reveals that God anticipated sin. He did so to demonstrate His full character to us. God required sin to exist so that He could demonstrate His wrath and justice. Furthermore, the world could never know God’s mercy or grace without the existence of sin.

Paul explains it this way:

Rom. 9:22 What if God, although willing to demonstrate His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction?
Rom. 9:23 And He did so to make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory,
Rom. 9:24 even us, whom He also called, not from among Jews only, but also from among Gentiles.
