VBVMI StaffPastor Armstrong teaches that God knew about us before Genesis Chapter 1:1. That means He knew that we will be unfaithful at times and turn our back against Him. So then why did He create us?
The Lord created Adam and Woman with the intent that sin would exist. The very design of Creation itself reveals that God anticipated sin. He did so to demonstrate His full character to us. God required sin to exist so that He could demonstrate His wrath and justice. Furthermore, the world could never know God’s mercy or grace without the existence of sin.
Paul explains it this way:
The Lord has tolerated sin in His Creation so that He could display His mercy to those chosen for salvation. For a full explanation of this difficult concept, we recommend you listen to our Romans Bible study.
